I love my little baby so much. She usually doesn't sit so nicely for me when I take pictures, but she's such a cutie here. Love her so much!

A day at the zoo

These are just some shots after a day spent at the zoo. Honestly,I was really looking forward to spending some time with my friend Lauren and eating some shaved ice. The animals were so magnificent. I loved seeing the giraffes and elephants up close. I especially loved the way the mama and baby elephants interacted. In one of the pics you can see their trunks intertwined.
The best was when Lauren and I made fools of ourselves in the photo booth-even the shaved ice guy recognized us. Nice!
Anyways, Enjoy!
LOVE
I absolutely LOVE shootsac! Not only does it hold your camera gear, but the sac comes in different covers that you can interchange. I know I sound like a commercial, but I really do love this bag. Instead of lugging around a huge bulky bag, I can sling this baby across my body and move more freely. Ah, LOVE.
Engagements: Vicki and Adam!

I just recently shot my first engagement session. For a first session, I couldn't have had better "test subjects". They are such a cute couple and were not afraid to show how much they love each other.
Vicki and Adam are actually a part of my family and were wonderful to work with. Vicki was as beautiful as ever and really made my job easier than it actually is. Adam had the best Zoolander poses. This man cannot be beat in the simultaneous eyebrow lift and lip pucker!
I can't wait for their wedding in June. I've already got a comfy pair of shoes picked out for a night of fun and dancing!
New,New, New

This is my first blog ever. Woo-Ho! Ha. Well, I am an up and coming photographer and I'm just here to document my journey through this crazy and exciting profession. I absolutely love what I do and can't wait to fill up my blog with new pictures.
it's interesting as to how I came to be a photographer. I went to school for very, VERY different possible careers. First, I started Pre-Med and Psychology at the push of my parents. I knew after a few science classes that it was not for me. I did well, but nothing was pulling me to the profession. I had no passion. You know how you picture where you want to be? This was not it, nor did I have a full picture of "who" I wanted to be. After changing my major a few times, I decided just to do something interesting so I could get my Bachelors and all the other stuff will work it's way out. What a slacker way of putting it, but that is how I felt. I think people go through different obstacles just so they can fully appreciate the fruits of their labor in the end. I think there was a reason why I never majored in art or photography. Maybe I was supposed to experience a different side of me-one that was more analytical.
Ok, well that's a lot of positive thinking! Well, in a nutshell, that little blurb explains a little of my journey to Photography. There's a lot more to it (plus the outrageous support of my beautiful Husband-Husby for short.)
I am so excited to meet wonderful people and be able to document their journey in life. From the pitter-patter of little ones to the big kisses of loved ones.
Oh, and the above picture is of me. Yes, I am a dork.
side note: As a photographer, I realize I should have a better photo of me. But nothing other than Apple Photo booth can ever capture the true essence of me. The Mac dude and dudettes were thinking abut me when they came up with this nifty little gizmo on my laptop.
