About Me

My Photo
Tina Bass
I'm a Tampa, FL based photographer who captures images of people in love. The way I photograph is the way I see life. I never have a list of shots I need to take-it seems to muddle my brain. Instead, I seek inspiration from subjects. I focus on the person and I try to tell their story. I love meeting people in love and documenting these moments for them. I love all things vintage and that reflects my art. I have been told that my photos are amazing and romantic, but it's really not me. I'm only as amazing as my subjects. I feel so fortunate to do what I love. This blog is a documentation of my time in this world. It is about the weddings I see and the smiles I capture. It is also about my daily musings as photographer and how I see the world.

Celebrate:Good Times

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas! Things are winding down on my end, but we still have time for some puppy fun. We're gearing up for the New Year and I can't wait for 2009!

Awesomeness: Finao!!

I FINALLY got my Finao sample album in and it is fantastic! This album has amazing features: Choice of leather (or non-leathers), pictures printed on the page, and metal. Yes, METAL! The front cover picture is printed on metal. So, not only will it look pretty rockin' on your coffee table, but you could also use it like a nunchuck. I kid, I kid (but, seriously, this album has some weight to it!) check out the deliciousness:

Inspiration: Charity

Today I did a shoot at All Children's Hospital. I filled in and shot for my wonderful photographer friend, and mentor, Glenda of Artistic Photography Inc. This shoot was a pretty special shoot, because the wonderful DeBartolo Family Foundation was awarding ACH with the Spirit of Humanity Award and a contribution check. This award is handed out to amazing organizations who make contributions to our community.

You don't have to be a major foundation to help out, so please visit the website for All Children's Hospital and find out how you can make a contribution. Even picking up an extra toy and dropping it off for Christmas makes all the difference for a child (and for the parents.)

Music

I wanted to share a few more images from the concert I covered weeks ago. These images are my favorites from all of the ones I have taken. I love the hustle and bustle of everyone getting ready and movement. I tend to like things that most people might not like. Which, actually might be bad for business!

IMG_0300

In dwelling, be close to the land.
In meditation, go deep in the heart.
In dealing with others, be gentle and kind.
In speech, be true.
In ruling, be just.
In business, be competent.
In action, watch the timing.

"Those who have no compassion have no wisdom. Knowledge, yes; cleverness, maybe; wisdom, no. A clever mind is not a heart.Knowledge doesn't really care. Wisdom does."
